American Red Cross
courses
NEW!
SAFETY 101 adopts Babysitter Training. We
know you want nothing but the best care for
your child. Babysitter training ensures that
your sitter has the knowledge and skills to
care for those left in their charge. The
participant is exposed to a variety of
emergency and non-emergency situations.
From learning how to interact with children in
different learning stages, proper feeding and
diapering, appropriate play, safety, and taking
action during an emergency. This American
Red Cross course is action packed into 6
hours to ensure your baby sitter develops the knowledge, skills and professionalism to be an effective
babysitter. This course includes CPR and Babysitters certification from the American Red Cross.
The benefits of this course include templates to assist you in developing a safety checklist to be performed
before, during and after each sitting job. The tools you need are provided including: forms for contact and
safety related information, actions to take in an emergency, and how to establish the parameters before
accepting a responsibility. Tell your clients you are trained and certified. Parents, ask for certification.
Participants are issued an American Red Cross Certificate of Completion.

CPR and First Aid Courses
This section provides a brief description of courses and seminars available from Safety 101. (Various add-
ons and programs customized to meet your needs. Note: Industry standard is 10 participant minimum.
Contact me for details.)
Send 'em Home Safe (Little League Baseball)
Safety 101 offers First Aid training to support your Little League Safety Plan.
All coaches are required by Little League Baseball to complete a First Aid
Course at least once every three years, and at least one representative
from each team must have someone present who has completed the
training within the last year. In addition to providing the full course, we also
offer the First Aid seminar, to larger groups who are not necessarily
'required' to be certified by an accredited organization such as the American Red Cross. Making First Aid
and CPR training a requirement in your league not only makes sense, but it reminds parents of your
commitment to Send 'em Home Safe! Currently booked for the Fall 2011, season for South Central and
West Los Angeles Leagues. Email me for availability. (No courses for Winter 2011/12)
